Complete examination
When you come in for a complete examination, you will be greeted by the dental hygienist. She will take the time to talk with you to determine what your needs and priorities are.She will then proceed to take the necessary X-rays. At the Dental Health Centre, we use digital X-rays, a state of the art technology, which reduces radiation exposure by 75% to 80% and provides a top- quality image. As a result, we can be much more precise with our diagnoses.
Then, using an intra-oral camera, she will take photographs of your teeth and soft tissue. In so doing,she will be able to show you the areas that are healthy and those where anomalies have been detected. Afterwards, she will proceed to remove the tartar from your teeth and polish them. She will provide you with recommendations to help you achieve and/or maintain optimum oral and dental health.
After consulting all the information collected by the dental hygienist, the dentist will be ready to perform a complete examination of your mouth. Hence, at the end of your appointment, you will be informed if any subsequent treatments are required,the order in which the subsequent treatments should be performed, as well as the fees which would apply for each procedure.
