réponse Energy Drinks

Energy drinks, which are extremely popular with teenagers and young adults, can cause severe damage to tooth enamel.

The sugar these drinks contain is not the main offender in this process. The real offender is the level of acidity, which literally acts as a powerful solvent on tooth enamel. As a result, multiple caries unfortunately develop, as well as major erosion on overall tooth enamel.

OUR ADVICE:

• You should limit, or completely avoid, this type of drink.
• If you do consume them, you should wait at least an hour before you brush your teeth in order to avoid reinforcing the acid’s corrosive action by brushing.
• In any case, after having an energy drink, rinsing your mouth with water is a good way to reduce the acid to an acceptable level.
